Restaurant Scene: August 2023

Yami Grill, 699 Calderon at Church, closed. Licensing-change notice dated June 19 names a coming restaurant “Clifford’s Chicken & Fish.” In July after long gestation (the first new-business notice appeared there 15 months ago), popular Peruvian restaurant group Limón (“Rotisserie” was dropped from the name) opened its much-anticipated Santa Clara County location, 800 California St. at Castro. Remodeling has moved the restaurant’s main entrance from the Castro-California corner to California Street.
