Senate Bill (SB79), if passed, will have a major impact on our Old Mountain View neighborhood. 5-14 story buildings would be permitted BY RIGHT (no city council opposition allowed in the impact zones shown on the sign below). These impact zones include our historic retail district on the 100-300 blocks of Castro Street.
Call Senator Josh Becker at (916)-651-4013 and Assemblymember Marc Berman at (650)-324-0224 and say “I live in your district and I (OPPOSE/SUPPORT) SB79.”

The deciding votes on SB79 are expected by September 12, 2025, although they could be taken any time now before then. Make your view known while there is still time!
