MINUTES OF OMVNA STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING
Monday, January 25, 2021

PRESENT
14 members were present:
Kristin Bailey, Susan Bickford, Sam Blewis, Robert Cox, Aaron Grossman, Judith Harrison, Max Hauser, David Lewis, Roberto Miller, Lawrence Rosenberg, Larry Rush, Jamil Shaikh, Jerry Steach, and Nancy Stuhr.
(1) CALL TO ORDER
Chair David Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:38 pm.
(2) CALL FOR ADDITIONAL AGENDA ITEMS
Chair David Lewis called for any additional agenda items.
None were presented.
(3) APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chair David Lewis and Former Secretary Max Houser presented the minutes from the previous meeting, Monday, December 14, 2020.
Robert Cox moved their approval, Jamil Shaikh seconded. The minutes were approved.
(4) NEXT MEETING(S)
The next OMVNA Steering Committee Meeting was set for April 26, 2021 at 7:30 pm via Zoom.
(5) CERT UPDATE
CERT Committee member Aaron Grossman gave an update from the CERT Committee.
(6) COVID-19 UPDATE
SCC COVID-19 Ambassador David Lewis gave an update regarding COVID-19.
(7) REQUEST FOR SOCIAL MEDIA AND OUTREACH FUNDS
Advertising Director Kristin Bailey requested $300 for signs advertising when a new newsletter comes out.
Susan Bickford moved to approve the request for approximately $300 to create yard signs. Jamil Shaikh seconded. The motion passed.
Advertising Director Kristin Bailey requested $2,000 in funding to purchase and mail a postcard to each household in Old Mountain View.
Susan Bickford moved to approve the request for $2,000 to create a postcard for the neighborhood. Max Hauser seconded. The motion passed.

(8) GRANT APPLICATION FUND USE
Chair David Lewis outlined the guidelines for use of the city neighborhood grant.
New guidelines encourage things that support neighbors and encourage neighborhood engagement. The current grant covers activities through June 30 2021.
(9) STATE LEGISLATION UPDATE
Vice Chair Robert Cox gave an update on state legislation with regard to SB9 and SB10.
(10) PARKING SUBCOMMITTEE
Parking Subcommittee Chair Robert Cox reported that Roberto Miller has joined the Parking Subcommittee. The committee is waiting on information from the city on the downtown parking strategy.
(11) TREASURERS REPORT
Treasurer Larry Rush presented the treasurers report.
Balance: $25,978.06
(12) DOWNTOWN COMMITTEE
Downtown Committee Member Jamil Shaikh reported that the next committee meeting will be February 2 at 9:00 am.
(13) NEWSLETTER
Newsletter Editor Susan Bickford reported lower costs due to fewer print copies. Everyone is encouraged to send valentines for the newsletter to Susan.
(14) HISTORIC PRESERVATION
Historic Preservation Subcommittee Chair Jerry Steach reported on historic property Chez-TJ continuing to operate and the former Tied House being gutted and repaired.
(15) ADJOURNMENT
Chair David Lewis adjourned the meeting at 9:09 pm
