Approximately 50 members of OMVNA met in the City Council Chambers on Thursday, October 16 for the biennial Candidates Forum and the final General Meeting of the year. Eight of the nine candidates for the four open seats on Mountain View’s City Council participated in a question and answer session moderated by OMVNA Vice-Chair Bruce Karney.
General consensus from the audience was that the event was well worth attending. The forum was videotaped, and it will be posted on the omvna.org website sometime during the coming weeks.
Prior to the forum, Nominating Committee Chair Hugh Donagher conducted a brief business meeting where the members approved the slate of officers for 2009. Officers for next year are as follows:
